About Us

The Center For Intervention, CFI, has been providing court ordered educational programs using a cognitive behavioral evidence based model since 1988. These programs have given the judicial system another sentencing option. They are being used as:

- A CONDITION OF DIVERSION OR DEFERRED ENTRY OF JUDGEMENT

- A PROBATION COUNSELING OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

- A NEIGHBORHOOD COURT DIRECTIVE

The founder and director, Ed Weed, has over twenty-six years of experience working in the Criminal Justice System for county and state agencies. He has conducted workshops for probation staff as part of their required annual training.

The programs are offered in Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, Solano and Yolo counties.
